Introduction

The Green Square Town Centre is a new $1.7 billion mixed use development set to transform Sydney’s Inner South.

Combining residential, commercial and retail components, this iconic urban renewal project will provide a new Town Centre for the broader Green Square Urban Renewal area - a 278 hectare area, taking in parts of Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Rosebery, Waterloo and Zetland.

The Town Centre incorporates 14 hectares of land directly above and adjacent to the Green Square Railway Station. New developments will be built around a network of new public spaces – including plazas and a new park. The new public domain will be as large as Martin Place in the CBD and will provide a cultural and community focal point.

The Town Centre will provide homes for 5,500 residents and accommodate 7,000 workers. It will be a place to work, live, shop, be entertained, relax and enjoy life.

Arranged around plazas will be a cosmopolitan mix of restaurants, cafes, shopping, entertainment and culture – creating an exciting place to live and visit as well as a major new hub for business.
