A Growing City

Sydney’s Metropolitan Strategy recognised the need to accommodate a large part of Sydney’s future growth within existing urban areas. The Green Square Town Centre is part of the response to this, delivering new communities and employment centres that are economically, environmentally and socially sustainable.

Along with providing new living space for the growing Sydney population, Green Square Town Centre will be a major stimulus for the NSW economy. It is expected to create 4,000 long term jobs both during and after construction, stimulating $3.2 billion in economic activity.

Sydney’s Inner South was identified some time ago as having the potential to accommodate some of Sydney’s burgeoning population. Its strategic location is the ideal place to create a sustainable new community, where residents and workers can enjoy a high level of amenity.

As a planned major centre, the Green Square Town Centre will support a larger population in the surrounding areas and become a comfortable, sophisticated and well-resourced living and working space.
