Green Square - Town Centre Sydney

Hundreds of local residents visited the recent Public Domain Design Information Exhibition at the Green Square Town Centre Project Office, 100 Joynton Ave Zetland.  The exhibition featured concept plans developed by landscape architects mcgregor + partners for the City of Sydney and Landcom in response to community planning workshops late last year.

Feedback from the exhibition was overwhelmingly positive, with visitors offering support and encouragement to ‘make it happen’ as quickly as possible.

Exhibition feedback will form part of the design development process. The next steps are:

• Finalisation of design - May to mid 2008

• Development Application (DA) lodged - mid-late 2008

• DA Exhibition period (4-6 weeks) - mid-late 2008

Landcom has commenced demolition of the Waterloo Incinerator.

Landcom is also in the process of seeking a development partner to participate in the development of a number of sites within the Town Centre where Landcom has a controlling interest.
