Demolition
Demolition of the Waterloo Incinerator is now complete. The demolition works included the main Incinerator building, the chimney stack, a number of underground pits and all other associated plant, equipment and structures.
The site has now been graded and leveled. A number of items from within the Incinerator have been salvaged and are now being assessed to see if they are suitable to re-use in the public domain of the future Green Square Town Centre.
Should they be re-usable, these items will be a visible expression of the site's industrial past.
